About Cordika

Cordika is a scheduling and compliance system for special education. Districts use it to build student service schedules across a school year and to see, at any time, whether each student’s services are being delivered on the terms their IEP requires. The priorities below govern how Cordika treats the data you put into it. Its companion page, Using Cordika safely, covers what your own staff should do.

What Cordika is for

Special-education scheduling is hard to get right and expensive to get wrong. A service plan sets out how much of each service a student is owed, from whom, and how often, and a district has to turn dozens or hundreds of those plans into a workable weekly schedule that real staff can deliver. Cordika builds that schedule, then tracks delivery against every plan, so a compliance question has an answer a district can stand behind. It fits alongside the systems you already run, instead of asking you to move off them.

How Cordika handles your data

Cordika holds sensitive records: IEPs, disability information, and session histories for students who are among the most protected in law. Four priorities govern how it treats them.

  • Student-data privacy comes first. The data a district puts into Cordika belongs to the district and its students, not to Cordika. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never mined to build a profile of a student for any purpose other than delivering the service. Cordika runs no analytics, telemetry, or session-replay against it.
  • Cordika collects the least it needs. It takes the data required to schedule services and measure their delivery, and no more. It does not ask students to create accounts or sign in, because students are never users of the system.
  • The data stays in the United States. Every record Cordika stores rests in United States cloud regions.
  • We describe our security accurately. Cordika can back every claim it makes to a district, and a security review gets a straight answer.

How these are backed

These priorities are backed by written commitments, not intentions. Cordika’s information security policy and its data privacy agreement are the documents that hold those commitments, and both are provided to a district during procurement. The privacy and ownership terms are set in the data privacy agreement a district signs before any student data is accepted. If a commitment on this page ever stops being true, the security policy is corrected and the district is told.
